LONDON, UK Friday Apr.28.2006 /netmusiccountdown.com/ -- British rockers Hard-Fi have been forced to cancel the remaining dates of their North American tour after singer Richard Archer was diagnosed with a throat infection.

"I am deeply frustrated by the problem I'm having with my throat," writes Richard on the band's MySpace page. "We were so looking forward to hitting the States at the end of the month and especially looking forward to playing the Coachella festival, but unfortunately it's just not possible at this time."

Richard promises that Hard-Fi will "be back in June" and "plan to make up" for the missed performances.

Canceled shows include tonight's performance in San Francisco and Saturday's slot at Coachella. Gigs were also pulled in Vancouver (April 22), Seattle (April 24), Portland (April 25), and Sacramento (April 27).

Richard is currently under a doctor's care, and Hard-Fi is expected to resume their worldwide tour schedule shortly in support of the band's debut release, "Stars of CCTV."
