NEW YORK, NY Tuesday Jun.13.2006 /netmusiccountdown.com/ -- Less than one month after releasing the new album "So Amazin'," Island Def Jam has dropped Christina Milian from its roster.

The New York Daily News reports that the singer was dropped due to lackluster sales and alleges that Milian angered Island Def Jam CEO L.A. Reid, who wanted her to record the song "S.O.S. (Rescue Me)."

Milian went with the song "Say I" instead, while her label mate Rihanna went on to record the huge hit, "S.O.S."

Milian's public relations representative told the New York Daily News that the split was a mutual decision between the R&B singer and the label, citing "creative differences."
