LONDON, UK Thursday Jul.20.2006 /netmusiccountdown.com/ -- Snow Patrol, Franz Ferdinand and the Flaming Lips are among the artists who will be featured on a forthcoming album of children's songs, reports NME.com.

The CD is scheduled for release in October and is called "The Colours Are Brighter." It will be curated by the Scottish group Belle & Sebastian. Proceeds from the sales of the disc will go to Save The Children.

Snow Patrol performs "I Am An Astronaut," while Franz contributes the song "Jackie Jackson." The Flaming Lips can be heard singing "The Big Ol' But Is The New Baby Now."

Some of the other acts featured on "The Colours Are Brighter" include Jonathan Richman, the Divine Comedy, the Kooks, and Belle & Sebastian.
