NASHVILLE, TN Wednesday Aug.23.2006 / -- Montgomery Gentry's homecoming concert proved that the guys are "carrying on" as usual.

Jeff Bates and Joe Nichols warmed up the packed house at the Kentucky State Fair Thursday (8/17) night in Louisville. The Courier Journal wrote that "[Montgomery Gentry] turned the arena into one big alcohol-soaked honky tonk. Cigarettes were lit, tube tops were dropped and most of the crowd got down and dirty with a country rock show that focused mostly on rock and not so much on country.... Gentry accused half the crowd of being Montgomery's relatives. While that was an exaggeration, there was a feeling of hometown boys doing well, since Montgomery Gentry is currently one of the top acts in country music... The concert was a loud, beery, fun-loving party." The guys continue the tour with stops in Tennessee, Ohio, Michigan, Arizona, California and Washington. Look for their new CD in stores on October 24.
