NASHVILLE, TN Friday Jan.12.2007 / -- Multi-platinum selling group Lonestar is set to join fellow country artists and NASCAR drivers for the two-day Sprint Sound & Speed event presented by SunTrust, January 12th and 13th in Nashville.

The event, a celebration of country music and Motorsports, will benefit the Country Music Hall of FameR and Museum charities and the Victory Junction Gang Camp for children with serious illnesses.

Lonestar is set to get the crowd going with some of their #1 hits as well as songs off their latest album Mountains Friday night at The Groove, a VIP event at the Wildhorse Saloon.

"We are huge NASCAR fans so we are really excited to be a part of the Sprint Sound & Speed event this year," said lead singer Richie McDonald. "I have no doubt that the two-day event will be a great time, how could it not be when you combine the great traditions of country music and NASCAR?"

The Groove is an exclusive evening showing appreciation for artists, drivers, industry VIPs, and event sponsors. The Groove was the highlight of Sound & Speed in 2006 with over 900 VIP guests and celebrities in attendance. Attendees will participate in a silent auction, mingle with other industry guests and be entertained by Lonestar as well as other musical performances and NASCAR drivers.
