LOS ANGELES, CA Friday Feb.2.2007 /netmusiccountdown.com/ --
Music fans won't be hearing much from The Strokes anytime soon.
The band has decided to take a significant break, with no word as to when they'll get back into the studio. However, they've has assured fans that the break is definitely not a break-up. Hammond said, "Everyone is just taking a big amount of time off."
The timing couldn't be better for Strokes' guitarist Albert Hammond, who has recently launched his solo career. Hammond is currently using the time to promote his new album, "Yours to Keep," which will drop March 6th in the U.S.
He said, "If we get offers to play European festivals, cool. And if we don't, then maybe we just work on some new music."
