NASHVILLE, TN Monday Feb.12.2007 /netmusiccountdown.com/ --
Josh Turner tells the Los Angeles Times about his two Grammy nominations, and said he was "blindsided" when he heard that he'd been nominated.
He's honored by the nominations, but tells the Times that has mixed emotions by competing in a category with one of his idols, Willie Nelson.
To combat the mixed emotions is some Awards show advice the late Waylon Jennings shared with Josh: "It's art, it's not a sport, nobody's keeping score and there's not a championship. It's just a lot of people trying to express themselves in their own individual ways."
The Grammys will be telecast on February 11 from Los Angeles. Josh's current album, Your Man, is currently #9 on the charts and has scanned over 1.6 million units.
