NASHVILLE, TN Thursday Apr.12.2007 /netmusiccountdown.com/ -- Punkbands.com reports that the home in which Johnny and June Carter Cash lived has burned down.

The couple had been in the house since the late 1960's up until the time of their death in 2003.

The house was bought by Bee Gee Barry Gibb who began re-modeling the downtown Nashville home. The place caught fire around 1.40pm yesterday, destroying everything except the stone chimneys.

Neighbor Marty Stewart said, "So many prominent things and prominent people in American history took place in that house - everyone from Billy Graham to Bob Dylan went into that house."
