NASHVILLE, TN Wednesday Apr.18.2007 /netmusiccountdown.com/ --
NME.com reports that Bee Gee Barry Gibb is going to preserve the foundation of the house where Johnny Cash and his wife June Carter Cash once lived.
The property burned to the ground last week while a construction crew was rennovating the home. The cause of the fire is still being investigated and an official report has not yet been released.
Gibb made a statement saying, "Linda and I have decided to build our own home on the higher ground surrounding the Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash home."
He added, "The original foundations shall be kept intact and preserved for the people of Hendersonville and the people of Nashville."
Johnny and June lived in the Nashville home from 1968 until their deaths in 2003.
