LOS ANGELES, CA Monday May.7.2007 /netmusiccountdown.com/ -- Trevor Smith, a.k.a. Busta Rhymes has been freed on $7500 bail after being arrested for drunk driving in New York City last week.

Smith was stopped by police for having overly-tinted windows, at which point officers smelled alcohol on the rapper's breath.

Officer Jeffrey Rohe said his bulletproof GMC Yukon XL featured a tint meter that blocked out more than 70% of light transmission, had bullet- resistant tires, 2 inch bullet repellent windows with a steel and Kevlar exterior.

A police source told the Daily News, "The car was outfitted for war or to protect [President] Bush. He's driving around a safe city like it's the red zone in Iraq."

Busta's blood alcohol level at the time of the incident was .147. A later test at the police station showed his level as .067. The legal New York State limit of .08.
