LOS ANGELES, CA Friday Jun.1.2007 /netmusiccountdown.com/ --
Taking Back Sunday has found themselves a new gig - the band announced that they will be playing a series of concerts for the Boost Mobile Rock Corps (BMRC).
The BMRC is a national youth volunteerism movement that rewards those who serve their communities with admission into exclusive concert events. The concerts are free to anyone volunteering four hours of community service to BMRC projects.
TBS singer Adam Lazzara said, "Communities are like gardens. Without upkeep and care, without maintenance, it is impossible for them to grow, to produce anything of value. By offering an incentive, Boost Mobile RockCorps is teaching this valuable lesson to our nation's youth – in whose able hands our community's futures lie. We are honored to have the opportunity to take part -- BMRC rules."
Taking Back Sunday will hit Portland July 26th, Houston on August 2nd, Philadelphia August 27th, and Chicago on September 2nd.
