NASHVILLE, TN Tuesday Jun.26.2007 /netmusiccountdown.com/ --
Garth Brooks tried to help pro baseball teams by actually playing, but Gary Allan is accomplishing more the Boston Red Sox affiliate Pawtucket PawSox, by just doing his thing, singing for one of their pitchers.
Seems Red Sox pitcher Jon Lester is rehabbing an injury and requested that Gary's hit "Right Where I Need To Be" be played on the stadium sound system when he took the the mound against the Columbus Clippers last month. Lester says the song inspires him on his quest to return to the Red Sox rotation and the song must have worked, as Lester worked five scoreless innings and allowed just four hits with two walks and six strikeouts.
Gary is currently out on the road inspiring his fans. He's also been in the studio working on a new project, and the first single from that upcoming album ships to radio soon.
