NASHVILLE, TN Tuesday Jul.10.2007 / -- Blake Shelton's video of "The More I Drink" has begun its climb up GAC's Top 20 countdown after debuting on the network show July 6th.

Blake tells us the reason he likes the song is that it talks about real life things that he thought were funny and he identified with.

"Well, 'The More I Drink,' is a song I really feel like, I didn't write it but feel like it was written about me...and I know David Lee Murphy is a co-writer on it, and I think he's the king of partying songs, as far as writing a good drinkin' song goes. And when I heard it, I actually started punching my steering wheel and laughing, I couldn't believe how hilarious the song was and how real. You know they say that the funniest things in life are real and that's why that song is so funny to me because I can see myself over and over again doing these same things that are talked about in the song."
