LOS ANGELES, CA Thursday Aug.2.2007 /netmusiccountdown.com/ -- NME.com reports that McDonalds has dropped Twista from their "McDonald's Live" concert series that began July 26th.

The fast-food company explains that the rapper's lyrics were too controversial for the tour, and has axed him from the lineup at a gig in Chicago next month, saying they would not "perpetuate derogatory language."

Twista said, "I was actually going to have a school with a choir come sing the song 'Hope' with me. So now McDonald's have to tell the kids that they can't perform."

Ne-Yo, Kenna, Kat De Luna, the Dey, Single File and Kevin Michael are taking part in the 10-city tour.
