NASHVILLE, TN Friday Aug.24.2007 / -- Tuesday morning, they say more than 1.75 million people woke up to Joe Nichols talking about Real Things, while Nichols himself awoke to some of the best album reviews of his career.

Nichols decided to spend his release day playing guest host DJ with 25 morning shows coast to coast, as well as CNN Radio.

And while he joked and chatted with some of the countryıs most popular radio morning teams, the glowing reviews on his brand new release, Real Things, when folks want to point to somebody and say there goes one of the younger guys who's the "real thing." He's also joined a real thing sweet thing, Lee Ann Womack on the final cut, "If I Could Only Fly."

(PERSONAL NOTE: If the 1.75 million people liked what Joe Nichols said about Real Things, and if they're smart they'll, run out and buy it, take it home and put it on the same shelf where they store the treasures gifted to us by the likes of Haggard, Jones, Travis, Watson, Gosdin, Jackson and others, and label that shelf: Reserved for The Real Thing. This one polishes this young, and totally hip, traditionalist to shiny "treasure" status as well and an instant iPod addition).
