NASHVILLE, TN Friday Oct.5.2007 / -- Marty Stuart was presented with the Joe Talbot Award from the Country Music Association on October 3rd. The award, which is named after a lifetime member of the CMA board of directors, honors Marty's work collecting and preserving country music memorabilia. He accepted the award at the Tennessee State Museum in Nashville, where a portion of his private collection can be viewed through November 11.

"You all know how much I love country music," Stuart said. "I stepped off the bus when I was 13 years old for a weekend and never went home. I dedicated my life to it. I love this music. We are a family."
