NEW YORK, NY Wednesday Dec.3.2003 /netmusiccountdown.com/ -- A longtime backer of R. Kelly, eTracks artist Cam'ron has recently withdrawn his support for the fellow rapper, due to Kelly reneging on his agreement to sing on Cam'ron's upcoming "Purple Haze" album. Cam'ron said he had been there for his fellow artist from the beginning of Kelly's recent sex scandal, and had traveled to Los Angeles to collaborate on Kelly's remix of "Snake."

"I said fine, all in exchange for him to do a beat and hook on my album," said Cam'ron in an MTV.com interview, who explains that there is still no R. Kelly work on his upcoming release. "I still love his music, he's a great musician, but I can't do business with that man, 'cause that's bad business." Cam'ron will still plan to have a vocalist on his LP, even if Kelly or Maxwell (his backup plan) don't work out. He's also scheduled to shoot his first video from "Purple Haze" in the next few weeks.
