Tuesday Dec.9.2003 /netmusiccountdown.com/ -- Randy Travis is arguably the comeback act of 2003 thanks to his return to the top of the country charts with "Three Wooden Crosses." That point was driven home again last week when he received two Grammy Nominations for the song and his album (Best Male Country Vocal Performance for his recent No. 1 hit, "Three Wooden Crosses," and in Best Southern, Country, or Bluegrass Gospel Album for his CD, Rise & Shine).

"It has been such an amazing year already, that learning about two Grammy nominations this morning really makes 2003 hard to top," said Travis. "We have had such an overwhelming positive response by fans to the songs of Rise & Shine and the single, 'Three Wooden Crosses' and it is an added honor to be recognized by my peers in the industry with these Grammy nominations. I am very proud and grateful."
