BURBANK, CA Thursday Dec.18.2003 /netmusiccountdown.com/ -- "Velvet Teddy Bear", Ruben Studdard will be #1 on next week's Billboard 200 albums chart. The American Idol champion has sold more than 416,000 copies (not personally, they sell them in stores and online) of his album, "Soulful".

Though the sales fall short of fellow competitor Clay Aiken's first week album sales, Studdard continues to be one of the most popular entertainers in the world in 2003.
