LOS ANGELES, CA Tuesday Aug.10.2004 /netmusiccountdown.com/ -- Drummer Neil Peart, from the progressive rock trio Rush, has a new book in the works. Entitled "Traveling Music: Playing Back The Soundtrack To My Life And Times," the book is part memoir and celebration of the musical artists who have inspired Peart along the way.

The 440-page hardcover edition of "Traveling Music" is expected to be published September 28, 2004 by ECW Press. Peart is also the author of two other books: "The Masked Rider: Cycling in West Africa" (1996), a tale of adventure and stamina that recounts one of Peart's African cycling tours, and "Ghost Rider: Travels on the Healing Road" (2002), about the Rush drummer's lone motorcycle journey across North and South America to cope with the deaths of his wife and daughter.

Rush recently released "Feedback," an EP of cover songs the Canadian band listened to in their youth. Among the tracks included are "The Seeker," "Crossroads," "Heart Full of Soul" and "Summertime Blues."
