TORONTO, CANADA Friday Aug.27.2004 /netmusiccountdown.com/ -- Finger Eleven vocalist Scott Anderson doesn't like the band being categorized as "nu metal." On the Canadian band's web site Anderson says, "We're not 'nu metal.' Simple as that. We're not heavy for the sake of being heavy. We don't believe in screams without melody. And we're not that depressed as individuals."

As further proof, guitarist James Black points to the Finger Eleven's musical tastes. Says Black, "You should see our CD collection. Collectively we have thousands of CDs, ranging from Genesis and Johnny Cash to Tool and Faith No More."

Finger Eleven is currently on a short US tour in support of its self-titled album.
