In the Best Female Country Vocal Performance category, Alison Krauss was nominated for "You Will Be My Ain True Love" from the Cold Mountain Soundtrack. She faces competition from Loretta Lynn for "Miss Being Mrs."; Martina McBride for "In My Daughter's Eyes," Shania Twain for "She's Not Just A Pretty Face" and Best New Artist nominee Gretchen Wilson for "Redneck Woman."

Artists in the running for Best Male Country Vocal Performance include Johnny Cash, Lyle Lovett, Tim McGraw, Willie Nelson and Keith Urban. Among the acts competing for Best Country Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal
are Asleep At The Wheel, Big & Rich, Brooks & Dunn, Dixie Chicks and The Notorious Cherry Bombs.
