NEW YORK, NY Thursday Mar.10.2005 /netmusiccountdown.com/ -- It seems that 50 Cent and the Game are putting aside their differences and setting an example for hip-hop. Yesterday (March 9), the two rappers held a joint press conference in Harlem to publicly end their feud and make peace.

MTV.com reports that although the pair made little eye contact or spoke to one another, 50 Cent and the Game shook hands and posed for photographers, with 50 even putting his arm around Game. 50 told the audience gathered that he and Game were burying the hatchet, and Game apologized for his beef with 50.

As well as squashing their beef, 50 and Game made a $253,500 donation to the Boys Choir of Harlem during the press conference.

Prior to the event, 50 Cent issued a statement saying, "I'm launching a new foundation, the G-Unity Foundation, Inc., to help people overcome obstacles and make a change for the better in their lives ... to help them overcome their situations." 50 Cent explained, "I realized that if I'm going to be effective at that, I have to overcome some of my own. Game and I need to set an example in the community."

Game also issued a statement that read, "I see this as a real opportunity to show the power of our community. 50 and I are proving that real situations and real problems can be solved with real talk. This can also be seen as a big step for my organization, Black Wall Street, in terms of making a difference. Maybe we can help save some lives ... the way rap music saved mine."
