ST. LOUIS, MO Friday May.6.2005 /netmusiccountdown.com/ -- Nelly, who appears in the upcoming movie "The Longest Yard," is bringing some of his famous friends to St. Louis this month for a benefit screening of the film.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that Nelly will be joined by his co-stars Adam Sandler, Chris Rock and Burt Reynolds at the benefit premiere of "The Longest Yard" on May 22 at the Tivoli Theatre. The movie is a remake of the 1974 comedy about a jailed pro quarterback, played by Sandler, who puts together a team of inmates to play a football game against the prison guards. Nelly plays prisoner Earl Megget, the team's running back.

"The Longest Yard" screening event is both fun and for a good cause. Proceeds benefit Nelly's charities, the 4Sho4Kids Foundation and the Jes Us 4 Jackie Campaign. Tickets cost between $50-$500. The $500 tickets include a VIP reception, the screening, the afterparty and an event gift bag; the $250 tickets include the screening and afterparty; the $100 tickets let you in to a screening in a secondary theater and afterparty; and the $50 tickets are for the afterparty only.
