Recorded for her upcoming, sixth studio release, entitled "Fireflies," Faith's "Mississippi Girl" is marked by a simple, yet direct autobiographical lyric.
"Music is, and always should be, about evoking an emotion or expressing a passion or feeling," said Faith, "and this song does just that for me. It's easier for me to express what's in my heart by telling people to listen to what I sing, rather than to what I say. I hope my fans enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoy singing it."
To coincide with the release, radio stations across the country will invite fans to go to their respective Web sites beginning on Tuesday, May 10, to download a free, timed-out version of "Mississippi Girl." Radio stations are
expected to begin airing snippets of the new song this week and the download will be available through May 23.
As of May 24th fans are invited to go to any digital music retailer to purchase the track.
