SEATTLE, WA. Thursday Jun.2.2005 /netmusiccountdown.com/ -- Over Memorial Day weekend, a show featuring Snoop Dogg and the Game turned ugly when a fan was beaten onstage during Snoop's song "Gin and Juice."

The Seattle Post Intelligencer reports that 24-year-old Richard Monroe claims he was attacked after jumping onstage to dance at the rapper's invitation. Monroe says a few seconds after he got onstage, Snoop's bodyguards dragged him to the back of the stage and about 12 people began hitting and kicking him, including Snoop Dogg, the Game and Oowee. Monroe claims that during the attack, alcohol was poured on him, his diamond earrings were pulled from his earlobes, and his watch, cell phone and wallet were stolen.

A 17-year-old fan who was sitting in the front section at the show told the newspaper, "The Game was throwing everything he had into it, and you could see Oowee moving back and forward and kicking the guy. I was kind of shocked."

The concert took place at Auburn's White River Amphitheatre. Spokespersons for the venue said a fan had "unexpectedly" approached the stage and had to be removed. After the incident, the show abruptly ended.

Monroe, who calls himself "a loyal fan" of Snoop Dogg's said, "They beat me like a slave. It's horrible. They just went too far."

Snoop's publicist told MTV that "any person who jumps onstage at a concert has to be interpreted as a security threat and an immediate risk to both the performers onstage as well as the fans in the audience. Once a breach of security has been made, authorities are forced to take the proper measures to ensure safety."
