TORONTO, CANADA Friday Jun.24.2005 / -- On July 2, Jet will play its biggest show ever: Live 8.

The Aussie rockers have signed up to play the Canadian edition of Live 8 in Barrie, Ontario, reports

Drummer Chris Cester jokes, "For us, it's the money and the hugeness of it, the publicity."

"Yeah, we won't do anything for under zero dollars, that's our motto," laughs bassist Mark Wilson.

In all seriousness, though, Jet is glad to take part in the anti-poverty concert.

"It worked out really well because we did a horrible show in Toronto the last time," Cester explains. "It's really good to be able to go back and give them a good show. And it's good to be part of something."

Does Jet's presence at Live 8 mean the band is getting into politics?

"We're not a real political band," says Wilson. "We have a song called 'Cold Hard Bitch,' so you do the math."
