LOS ANGELES, CA Tuesday Aug.23.2005 /netmusiccountdown.com/ -- Audioslave is hitting the road next month on its first-ever headlining arena tour.

Guitarist Tom Morello tells MTV.com, "We've done smaller tours at the beginning of records, we've done Lollapalooza, but this is our first real official Audioslave tour."

Audioslave will begin its road trip on September 25th in San Francisco. The tour will visit 31 cities in North America before wrapping up November 18th in Long Beach, California. Audioslave is donating a portion of the proceeds from the tour to several nonprofit organizations including Axis of Justice, started by Morello and System of a Down's Serj Tankian.

No venues have been announced yet, but Seether and Kasabian will open for Audioslave during the tour.

Audioslave is heading out in support of its latest album "Out of Exile." For a complete list of tour dates, visit www.audioslave.com.
