NASHVILLE, TN Thursday Sep.1.2005 / -- R&B artist Trey Songz is hitting the concert trail as part of the Cingular Wireless Historic Black Colleges and Universities "Back To School" tour.

The tour kicked off August 19th at Grambling State University in Grambling, Louisiana and continues this month with concerts at schools across the South. During the outing, Songz will perform at 22 campuses, and students at each school will have the opportunity to attend the shows for free.

Tonight, Songz performs at Nashville's Tennessee State. Throughout the rest of September, he'll also visit Atlanta's Clark Atlanta in Georgia; Baltimore's Morgan State; Houston's Texas Southern; and Washington, DC's Howard University, to name a few.

Songz recently released his debut album "I Gotta Make It," which features the hit single by the same name.
