LOS ANGELES, CA Tuesday Oct.11.2005 /netmusiccountdown.com/ -- Today's new music releases offer something for everyone.

If you're feeling soulful, try Alicia Keys' latest, "Alicia Keys: Unplugged." The live CD captures Keys during an intimate concert at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. She's joined by Maroon 5's Adam Levine, Common, Mos Def, and Damian Marley.

For some soul-infused rock, check out Paul Weller's "As Is Now" -- his eighth solo album. Weller is a huge star in Europe but lesser known in the US. He was the leader of the acclaimed English punk trio The Jam, a band that many of today's rockers (including Oasis) cite as an influence. Weller also fronted the R&B-jazz outfit The Style Council in the '80s. He's been making solo records since 1991.

If you're in the mood to dance, Ricky Martin's "Life" may be what you're looking for. Martin gets a little help on "Life" from special guests Fat Joe, Amerie, and Taboo from the Black Eyed Peas.

For some hip-hop beats, try "The Mouse and the Mask," from DangerDoom. The album is a collaboration between MF Doom and Danger Mouse, the man who produced the Gorillaz's "Demon Days." "The Mouse and the Mask" features guest appearances by Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Harvey Birdman and Space Ghost.

Other artists with new CDs out include Dolly Parton with "Those Were the Days" and Jamie Cullum with "Catching Tales."

In DVD news, Audioslave releases Live In Cuba today. The DVD concert film features the band playing live at the Anti-Imperialist Plaza in Havana, along with a 30-minute documentary on the event.
