NEW YORK, NY Wednesday Nov.16.2005 / -- 50 Cent is expanding his business empire to include a line of hip-hop books.

According to, the New York rapper plans to launch G-Unit Books, a joint venture with Pocket/MTV Books. The "street fiction" book line will include "gritty" hip-hop novellas and graphic novels featuring G-Unit members Lloyd Banks, Olivia, Tony Yayo and Young Buck as characters.

Nikki Turner, who wrote "A Hustler's Wife" and "The Glamorous Live" will author the first novella which is scheduled for release in 2007.
