PHOENIX, AZ Thursday Mar.16.2006 / -- Nickelback recently took to the ice with fellow Canadian and hockey legend Wayne Gretzky.

During the Phoenix, Arizona stop on the band's current North American tour, Nickelback had the opportunity to skate with "The Great One," as Gretzky's called by hockey fans around the world. Gretzky has retired from the game and now manages and coaches the Phoenix Coyotes hockey team.

Meeting Gretzky sounds like it was a dream-come-true for Chad, Ryan, Mike and Daniel.

On the band's official web site they write, "It was an absolutely amazing experience for all of us, and we cannot thank Wayne and the entire Phoenix Coyotes organization enough for the way they treated us. We all had such a great time and the hospitality was amazing."

Nickelback is currently on tour in support of its latest album, "All The Right Reasons." For a complete list of tour dates and to check out pictures of Nickelback with Wayne Gretzky, visit
